Diane P. Weidner Promoted to Vice President of American Financial Group, Inc.

American Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: AFG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Diane P. Weidner to Vice President.

Mrs. Weidner joined AFG in 1987 and has held positions of increasing responsibility across the company over her 33-year tenure. During her career, she held leadership roles in AFG and Great American Insurance Group. Since 2009, Mrs. Weidner has served as Assistant Vice President and Head of Investor Relations with responsibility for telling the company’s story to investors and building relationships with the institutional and retail investment communities. She also oversees external communications, Community Relations and the Company’s information research department.

Mrs. Weidner graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and holds an MBA from Xavier University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Ohio (non-practicing) and holds the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) credential. Mrs. Weidner also serves on the Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Tri-State Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and is a member of NIRI’s Senior Roundtable. She is President of the Southwest Ohio Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mrs. Weidner was named to the 2019 All-America Team as the “Best Investor Relations Professional” in the category of Insurance by Institutional Investor Magazine, and was honored as a member of the Lead Tribune Media Group C-Suite Awards Class of 2019.
