In this role, Dr. McMahon will collaborate closely with Genstar’s portfolio companies to optimize their AI strategies, helping to implement best practices as well as identify opportunities for cross-portfolio collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Dr. McMahon is a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in AI, data science, and machine learning. He most recently served as Vice President of Engineering, AI, and Data Science at Indeed, where he built and led the company’s AI and data organization, growing it to more than 300 team members. Prior to Indeed, Dr. McMahon spent 7 years on the Data Science team at Google where he drove improvements in search ranking, pricing models, and user prediction machine learning models. He began his career as a university Professor while providing technical consultation to major corporations, VC-backed startups, and government agencies.
As Genstar continues to invest in companies at the forefront of innovation, Dr. McMahon’s deep expertise in artificial intelligence and digital transformation will be instrumental in helping portfolio companies unlock new efficiencies, scale smarter, and fuel outsized growth in a rapidly evolving market.
Dr. McMahon holds a Doctorate and Master’s in Statistics from Stanford University and a Master’s and undergraduate degree from University College Dublin.
