Equita Financial Network Launches Comprehensive Succession Planning Solution in Partnership with Ellevate Advisors and FP Transitions

Equita Financial Network (EquitaFN), the only wealth management platform for women owned, fee-only independent financial advisors, announced the launch of its new succession planning solution, EquitaFN Succession Advantage, designed to help member firms secure their futures, preserve business value, and ensure clients are cared for during leadership transitions.

Developed in collaboration with Ellevate Advisors and FP Transitions, the offering provides EquitaFN members with access to a comprehensive suite of services that combine personalized planning, tailored implementation, and expert transaction support.

“Succession planning is one of the most critical but overlooked aspects of running an advisory business,” said Bridget Venus Grimes, CFP®, President of EquitaFN. “With nearly 80% of successions failing across the industry, we wanted to give our members a solution that goes beyond theory. By partnering with Ellevate and FP Transitions, we’re providing a roadmap that is transparent, tangible, and tailored—so advisors can protect their life’s work and position their firms for lasting success.”

Through the new solution, EquitaFN member firms will benefit from:

  • Ellevate Advisors’ Succession Roadmap, which includes readiness assessments, personalized action plans, quarterly implementation milestones, and transition coaching to guide advisors through every stage.

  • FP Transitions’ Valuation and Transaction Expertise, including certified valuations, deal structuring, and full legal documentation support to ensure smooth and compliant ownership transitions.

  • EquitaFN’s Matching Platform (in development for early 2026), giving members access to a curated pool of like-minded successors.

“Ellevate Advisors is committed to helping RIAs build succession plans that reflect their values and vision,” said Brooklyn Brock, CFP®, CEPA®, ChFC®, CKA®, Founder of Ellevate Advisors. “Our partnership with EquitaFN allows us to bring tailored guidance to a community of women-led firms that are deeply committed to serving their clients and teams with purpose.”

“FP Transitions has supported thousands of advisors through ownership transitions, and we know that the right planning can unlock extraordinary value,” added Stuart Smith, JD, Senior Consultant at FP Transitions. “By joining forces with EquitaFN and Ellevate, we’re ensuring that women-owned firms have access to the most effective succession strategies in the industry.”

EquitaFN members are already expressing enthusiasm for the new offering. Kim Spencer, CFP, CDFA, Owner of Next Step Financial and a member of EquitaFN, commented: “Succession planning can feel overwhelming, but this solution gives me confidence that I’ll have the tools, support, and partnerships I need to create a plan that protects my clients, my team, and the business I’ve built.”

The Equita Succession Planning Solution is available immediately to all EquitaFN members, with Ellevate services provided at no cost and FP Transitions services covered when successor firms remain on the Equita platform.
