The facility provides flexible capital designed to support Avant’s continued growth across its platform. The transaction further strengthens a longstanding relationship between Aperture’s Asset-Based Finance (“ABF”) team and Avant.
Launched in 2025, Aperture’s ABF strategy seeks to provide flexible, tailored capital solutions to leading consumer and commercial finance platforms. Led by Global Head of Asset-Based Finance and Portfolio Manager Nick Turgeon, the strategy leverages disciplined underwriting and specialized asset-level expertise to identify, structure, and manage attractive investment opportunities.
“We’re pleased to partner with Avant to support its continued growth,” Turgeon said. “Our ABF strategy is focused on working with high-quality partners that combine dynamic underwriting models with proven operating capabilities, and Avant exemplifies those qualities. We look forward to continuing to seek attractive investment opportunities for our clients.”
“At Avant, we’ve spent more than a decade building a data-driven platform designed to expand access to responsible credit for middle-income Americans,” said Al Goldstein, CEO of Avant. “Partnering with Aperture on this facility aligns with that mission: it gives us flexible funding to grow our credit card portfolio while maintaining the discipline and risk management our customers and capital partners expect. We’re excited to deepen the relationship as we scale the platform to serve more people.”
Founded in 2012, Avant is a data-driven, multi-product platform that provides access to both credit cards and personal loans for middle-income American consumers. The company launched its branded credit card* in 2017 as part of a platform that has served more than 4.5 million unique customers and connected them to over $13.7 billion in personal loans and more than 3.1 million credit cards in aggregate.
