Shift4 Payments and Sionic Mobile Partner to Offer Market-First Digital Commerce Solutions

Shift4 Payments (NYSE: FOUR), a leader in integrated payment processing solutions and Sionic, a leading provider of connected and mobile commerce services, today announced a partnership to deliver digital, contactless payment services through Sionic’s cloud-based technology solutions.

Through this partnership, Shift4 Payments will provide tokenization, gateway, and end-to-end payment processing services for Sionic’s digital commerce platform. The companies initially aim to support both enterprise and small- to medium-sized business (SMB) restaurants by augmenting existing mobile payment and loyalty apps, online ordering and point of sale (POS) systems with an end-to-end payment solution capable of reaching millions of consumers natively through their mobile devices, vehicle dashboards and smart home appliances. Sionic’s omnichannel technology connects digital transactions on these platforms to physical business locations, driving incremental sales for the company’s customers.

“We are pleased to partner with Sionic as the end-to-end payments provider for their mobile and connected commerce platforms, especially as contactless, mobile and online ordering transactions continue to gain in popularity,” said Chris Bjork, Shift4’s Vice President of Integrated Partnerships. “Driving incremental business to our restaurant and hospitality clients during this challenging time is a priority for us.”

“Shift4 offers comprehensive payment processing technology, and we are excited to partner with the company for our ULink™ connected commerce service and ION Commerce Engine® (ICE) mobile commerce platform,” said Ronald Herman, founder and CEO of Sionic. “Through this partnership, we will help our mutual restaurant clients increase sales and lower costs with our integrated solutions.”
