Developed using React, Protect uses an iframe to create PayTrace hosted fields when collecting sensitive payment information. This allows merchants to control the UI and UX of their checkout process while ensuring cardholder data never touches their servers.

Protect has the ability to increase merchant savings with interchange optimization. PayTrace creates payment solutions that connect merchants to the best interchange rates available. This means that every transaction touching our software can potentially put money back in merchants’ hands.

“We heard from merchants that they wanted to control the user interface and user experience of their checkout page, while keeping it secure,” said Kevin Hurd, PayTrace Integrations Manager. “Merchant checkout pages can retain branded customizations while PayTrace becomes a smaller footprint to collect sensitive payment information for the transaction.”
