Tradeshift Appoints Smita Gupta as VP, Global Marketing

Smita to position company for growth as Tradeshift meets global trade’s critical demand for digital transformation

Tradeshift, a leader in e-invoicing and accounts payable automation, has appointed Smita Gupta as VP, Global Marketing. She will be responsible for evolving and building a dynamic, predictable and scalable marketing organization that drives brand awareness, new partnerships and growth as the company scales.

Smita joins Tradeshift from Finastra where she led the company’s global platform & marketplaces marketing function, creating a commercially driven, diverse organization focused on innovation, go to market strategies, partnerships, revenue generation and growth. During her time with the company, Finastra scaled the platform with over 150 fintech apps on board and expanded footprints across Asia Pacific and China. She has also held leadership positions at Tata Communications, Akamai and Cisco.

Tradeshift recently announced that the cumulative value of transactions processed across its platform has surged beyond $1 trillion. Figures for the first half of 2021 showed the number of active businesses transacting on the Tradeshift platform had risen by 52 percent year on year.
