Tribe Mobile has partnered with Upside to offer a fairer approach to mobile phone contracts for the 9 million UK adults who are overlooked by traditional mobile networks.

Currently, 20% of people are turned away from mobile phone contracts because credit checks weren’t sufficient. Together, the partnership aims to regain control of the decision-making process behind who is awarded mobile phone contracts, using unique insights gathered from first-party consented spend data.
The collaboration with Upside will allow Tribe Mobile to view and understand their customer’s ability to hold a mobile phone contract in an entirely unique way that doesn’t require credit checks. It also enables customers to earn cashback on their shopping across 60 retail brands that will contribute to their mobile phone contract bill. Crucially, Tribe can actually help rebuild and boost a customer’s credit by using their SIM plans.

The new partnership builds on Upside’s growing client and retail partner base which already includes well-known brands such as Footlocker, Boohoo, Jojo Maman Bebe, and Seetickets.
