Dr. Nicola Stokes is IDA Ireland’s technologist for international financial services. She is responsible for winning foreign direct investment opportunities for Ireland in the area of financial technology R&D. Dr. Stokes has a PhD in artificial intelligence and has worked for more than 15 years managing AI-related research projects in diverse domains such as health informatics and media analytics. Before joining IDA Ireland, she worked for Ireland’s national science funding agency, Science Foundation Ireland, where she managed a portfolio of AI investments worth more than €100M.
