Barclays Adds Two Senior Technology Investment Banking Leaders

Ms. Taylor as Global Head of Internet Coverage and Ms. Chan as a new Managing Director are the latest strategic hires for Barclays and demonstrate a continued commitment to investing in industry-leading talent in the Corporate and Investment Bank.

Ms. Taylor joins Barclays after over 20 years in technology banking, most recently as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs Internet Investment Banking. She assisted large cap and developing internet customers in marketplaces, eCommerce enablement, online travel, digital health, and advertising. She advised clients in North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America and covered large-cap technology businesses in China and the region in Hong Kong from 2018 to 2021.

The Technology Investment Banking business of Barclays has appointed Emma Taylor as Global Head of Internet Coverage and Carmen Chan as Managing Director.

Ms. Chan joined Noom in 2021 from Goldman Sachs’ Internet Investment Banking team in New York, where she worked in consumer subscription, digital healthcare and wellness, direct-to-consumer retail, e-commerce, fashion and luxury, marketplaces, online travel, SMB enablement, and streaming. She has led advisory capital markets and M&A transactions in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, as well as fundraising and buy-side M&A in technology.

VP, Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Noom, Ms. Chan joins Barclays. Ms Chan built out the corporate development function, evaluated healthcare and wellness acquisitions, scaled the finance function for public readiness, and supported the CEO and CFO in fundraising, including Noom’s $540M Series F raise in 2021.
