Georgia United Credit Union Launches Next Phase of Transformational Banking Experience

Groundbreaking on Georgia United Credit Union’s new branch in fast-growing Forsyth County marks the next phase of the organization’s multifaceted branch transformation program that will reimagine the banking experience for members

Marking an exciting milestone in its branch transformation plan, Georgia United Credit Union has broken ground on a state-of-the-art 3,000-square-foot new Cumming branch location that will redefine the banking experience for members.

With a contemporary design and layout that focuses on nurturing deeper connections between members and the credit union’s team members, the full-service Cumming branch location set to rise from the Georgia red clay at 731 Atlanta Highway, serves as the new standard for future Georgia United branches and branch remodels.

“In addition to featuring our new interactive ATM+ terminals both inside and outside of the branch, this will be the first location to showcase our new open concept lobby design. The reimagined office space and workflow will enable our team members to better serve our members and their long-term financial needs,” said Todd Lambright, Georgia United’s Senior Vice President of Member Experience and Delivery.

Georgia United currently serves Forsyth County area members at its Cumming branch at 312 Canton Highway. The new Cumming branch, featuring more parking, easier access, and greater visibility on Atlanta Highway, will replace the current branch.

“We’re not simply moving to a different location in Cumming, we’re building a new experience for members brick-by-brick, combining the latest innovations in digital banking technology with the hometown feel of our award-winning personalized service,” said Georgia United Executive Vice President Laura King.

The new Cumming branch is expected to be complete by August.

“We look forward to continuing Georgia United’s dedication to exceptional service to the thriving Cumming area,” said Cumming branch manager Toni Beth Vasquez. “The open concept lobby design will feature new service spots for members to connect one-on-one with our knowledgeable team members while increasing self-service options provided by multiple ATM+ terminals for the day-to-day banking needs of our members.”

Georgia United, which has extended its membership eligibility to serve 53 Georgia counties, operates 12 branches across the state and anticipates breaking ground in a new market with construction of its Pooler branch in coastal Chatham County later this year.
