Digital banking platform grows global headcount by more than 150% percent in 2021
Novo, the powerfully simple small business banking platform, announced that it has hired Micayla Ryan as chief of staff, and Justin Potts as executive vice president of engineering. In total, the company has added 60 full-time staff in 2021, more than doubling its global headcount.
“As Novo’s customer base continues to grow at an exponential rate, we are building our team with an eye toward the future, when millions of small businesses across the U.S. will be using our digital banking solutions,” said Michael Rangel, CEO of Novo. “Novo’s newest hires have had extremely successful careers in their respective fields, working with companies that grew to serve millions of people. Their experiences will be invaluable in their roles with Novo, and we couldn’t be happier to have them join our team.”

This year, Novo also opened its new headquarters in Miami, announced $40.7M in Series A funding, and was named both CNBC’s Best Business Checking Accounts of August 2021 and The Most Innovative Bank in North America in The Banker’s 2021 Innovation in Digital Banking Awards.
