Solarisbank Becomes First Bank in Germany to Fully Migrate to the Cloud

Solarisbank AG, Europe’s leading Banking-as-a-Service platform, today announced that it has successfully migrated all of its core banking systems, digital products, and databases to AWS, making it the first bank in Germany to fully migrate to the cloud. The migration from the on-premise datacenter to the AWS cloud was conducted within one year and completed in November.

Solarisbank lifts the technological and regulatory barriers for its business partners to offer financial services quickly and seamlessly by combining the product range within its full German banking license with an API-based banking infrastructure. The cloud migration is a key part of Solarisbank’s strategy of building a product and tech platform that ensures the best possible conditions for scale and automation, in order to accommodate the growing customer bases of its partners.Solarisbank selected AWS as a strategic cloud provider to benefit from its global infrastructure and comprehensive set of cloud services.
