Ondo Finance To Bring First Tokenized Treasury Bills, USDY, to Sei Network

USDY Launch to Advance Yield-Driven Modular DeFi on Sei Network

Ondo Finance, a leader in tokenized real-world assets, today announced its flagship tokenized treasury product, United States Dollar Yield (USDY), is set to launch on the Sei Network, marking the first tokenized Treasury Bill to debut on the ultra-fast Layer-1 blockchain.

With over $680m in TVL across multiple blockchains, USDY currently offers a 4.25% APY, updated monthly, and enables global (non-US) individual and institutional investors to access the utility of stablecoins combined with an attractive yield and the institutional-grade investor protections of traditional finance. With this native USDY integration, high-quality yield becomes available on Sei, a blockchain capable of processing tens of thousands of transactions per second. As one of the most widely-adopted tokenized Treasury assets, USDY’s arrival on Sei positions the network as the definitive destination for institutional financial products in DeFi.

“By bringing USDY to Sei, we’re combining an institutional-grade product with a next-generation execution layer, enabling capital-efficient use cases for protocols, developers, and users alike,” said Nathan Allman, Founder and CEO of Ondo Finance.

This strategic integration reflects the growing demand for institutional-grade real-world asset exposure on the fastest Layer-1 blockchain. The Sei Network has seen remarkable growth in 2025, with TVL exceeding $670M and 821% year over year growth. The upcoming launch of USDY amplifies this momentum, combining access to onchain Treasury exposure with Sei’s high-performance rails for digital asset markets.

“Ondo Finance is setting the standard for real-world asset tokenization, and we’re thrilled to welcome USDY to the Sei ecosystem,” said Justin Barlow, Executive Director at the Sei Development Foundation. “Sei’s breakthrough infrastructure with near instant finality and parallelized execution makes it uniquely suited for institutional-grade financial products, and USDY represents the exact kind of high-quality, composable yield primitive that will unlock new possibilities for developers building the next generation of onchain applications.”

This integration advances both Ondo Finance’s mission of democratizing access to institutional-grade financial products and Sei’s vision of building scalable infrastructure for high-performance digital asset markets. It also reflects the growing demand for real-world asset exposure on fast, composable chains like Sei, where stablecoin activity has seen significant growth in 2025. The addition of USDY meets this momentum with a high-quality yield primitive and signifies a step forward in unlocking the next generation of onchain financial applications.
