(“Prometheum”), a market infrastructure provider for blockchain-based securities, announced the appointment of four new advisors to its advisory committee: Nobel Laureate Dr. Michael Spence, Dr. Jimmie Lenz, Donald H. Wilson, and Jeff Mehan. They join previously announced senior strategic advisor Dr. Arthur Laffer in advancing Prometheum’s mission to modernize U.S. capital markets by integrating blockchain-based securities with federally regulated market infrastructure.

The expanded advisory committee brings decades of leadership across global macroeconomics, electronic trading, market structure, asset management, and financial technology innovation. Collectively, these advisors will provide guidance across policy engagement, product strategy, institutional adoption, and the evolution of digital asset securities.

Dr. Michael Spence, a Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, is a global authority on economic development, market dynamics, and digital transformation. He is currently the Philip H. Knight Professor Emeritus of Management in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, a Senior Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and a Council on Foreign Relations Distinguished Visiting Fellow. His career includes academic leadership, authorship of influential research, and advisory roles with international organizations and private-sector institutions.
Dr. Jimmie Lenz is a financial technology researcher, professor, and former financial services executive with expertise in market microstructure, applied analytics, and financial innovation. He serves as the Director of Duke University’s Master of Engineering programs in Financial Technology and Cybersecurity. His career spans operational, academic, and advisory roles focused on data-driven decision-making, risk management, and the application of emerging technologies across financial markets.
Donald H. Wilson, currently serving as the Independent Chair of the Invesco ETF Trusts, brings decades of banking, fintech, and securities industry leadership. He has extensive governance experience across both CEO and Chair positions, where he has managed fiduciary oversight, led turnarounds and capital-raising efforts, and guided organizations through successful recapitalizations and acquisitions.
Jeff Mehan is a seasoned derivatives and market-structure expert with deep experience across equity, financial, and commodities derivatives brokerage. He has led regulatory and infrastructure initiatives under the Dodd-Frank Act, including the development and operation of Swap Execution Facilities and electronic derivatives execution platforms, and has participated on industry policy, operations, and regulatory committees of the Wholesale Markets Brokers’ Association, Americas (WMBAA), SIFMA, and ISDA.
Prometheum’s advisory committee will support strategic initiatives across policy, institutional partnerships, product development, and the continued rollout of Prometheum’s vertically integrated, blockchain-enabled ecosystem for the issuance, trading, clearing, settlement, and custody of digital asset securities through its FINRA-member and SEC-registered broker-dealer subsidiaries.
