Chin began her career in the financial industry in 2007, gaining experience at several respected firms before joining Edward Jones. She quickly advanced to Divisional Advisor Recruiting Manager, overseeing experienced advisor recruiting across the western United States. By 2022, she was hand selected by firm leadership to serve as the Department Leader of Experienced Advisor Recruiting, where she built a new national recruiting department from the ground up.
Chin’s leadership drove some of Edward Jones’ most complex advisor recruiting successes, setting a new benchmark for strategic advisor recruiting, talent development, and long-term advisor performance. “This role wasn’t about filling a seat; it was about finding the right person, and Betty is just that,” said John Petrick, Senior Managing Director at Perennial Financial Services. “Her record of vision, ingenuity, and dedication to recruiting high-performing advisors aligns perfectly with Perennial’s mission.”
As Chief Growth Officer, Chin will oversee all aspects of advisor expansion, recruitment strategy, and field development, bringing her visionary approach to a rapidly growing organization. Known for her integrity, forward-thinking approach, and strategic insight, she continues to redefine how advisors attain sustainable growth, independence, and success.
“Our core value is ensuring advisors can succeed here – this is a place to thrive, not just survive,” said Chin. “Every decision I make prioritizes giving both clients and advisors the tools and guidance they need to grow.”
Perennial Financial Services has built its reputation on putting clients first while fostering an environment where advisors can reach their full potential. The appointment of Chin as Chief Growth Officer reflects the firm’s commitment to upholding the highest standards in wealth management while continuing to expand its team of top-tier advisors.
“Two decades in this industry have taught me that clients want advisors who consistently put them first – that’s what builds trust,” Chin said. “Those are the kind of advisors who exist at Perennial, and the kind of culture we continue to cultivate every day. It’s about doing more than just getting through the day – it’s about creating a culture of excellence, growth, and purpose.”
Chin joins Perennial Financial Services at a time of significant growth, bringing her unparalleled capability in recruitment, leadership, and experienced advisor development to further the firm’s mission of delivering exceptional wealth management solutions.
