Pluvo Raises $5M Seed Round to Build the AI Decision Intelligence Platform for Modern Finance Teams

Backed by Andreessen Horowitz’s a16z speedrun, Pluvo is redefining how CFOs turn data into decisions with AI-powered financial analysis.

Pluvo, an AI-native financial analysis platform built for CFOs and FP&A teams, announced $5 million in seed financing to accelerate development of its agentic analysis engine and expand its go-to-market operations.

“If your finance tools can’t help you explore multiple options and make informed decisions in the moment, they’re just outdated calculators and spreadsheets cosplaying finance tools.”

The round includes participation from Andreessen Horowitz’s a16z speedrun, Deel, The Perseverance Fund, StandUp Ventures, and AltaIR Capital. A group of strategic angel investors, including existing Pluvo clients, also participated in the round.

The financing follows Pluvo’s acceptance into a16z speedrun, Andreessen Horowitz’s flagship early-stage program, which was announced earlier this year.

Addressing a structural gap in financial analysis

“CFOs don’t need another dashboard,” said Alex Labrèche, CEO and co-founder of Pluvo. “They need a system that actually helps them move from data to decisions faster. That’s what we’re building.”

Finance teams have invested heavily in data infrastructure over the past decade. Systems of record like ERPs, CRMs, and HRISs are accurate, but a persistent gap remains between seeing the data and understanding how it impacts the business.

Pluvo leverages emerging tech to solve this problem. Through agentic AI orchestration, the platform deploys specialized agents that analyze financial models, evaluate forecast assumptions, and assess scenario performance in real time. The result is structured, model- grounded insight delivered in minutes.

A platform designed for the decision layer

Where most planning tools operate at the data and reporting layers, Pluvo is designed to operate above them, at the insight to knowledge and decision layer. By combining deep financial modelling with automated analysis, the platform enables continuous variance analysis, multi-scenario planning, AI-driven forecasting, and context-aware performance explanations.

Finance leaders receive explainable, computation-backed analysis they can interrogate and simulate in real time. Over time, the platform builds institutional memory by capturing the reasoning behind decisions, so future analyses become faster, more relevant, and better aligned with how the business runs.

Traction, trajectory, and what’s next

Pluvo’s growth has been shaped by a deliberate path through leading programs and strategic clients. An alumnus of Alchemist Accelerator, Silicon Valley’s premier deep-tech program, the company refined its go-to-market approach and early product positioning before being selected for the highly competitive a16z speedrun from a pool of more than 19,000 applicants. Today, Pluvo supports strategic growth-stage and mid-market companies, and several of its own CFO customers participated as investors in the round.

The company plans to deploy the new capital toward expanding its agentic analysis engine, scaling the product and engineering team, deepening integrations across ERP, CRM, HRIS, and billing systems, and growing go-to-market efforts targeting finance leaders. Pluvo’s architecture emphasizes model-grounded reasoning, auditability, and enterprise-grade data integrity, designed to augment finance teams rather than replace them.

“Every CFO we talk to has the data,” offers Seb Fallenbuchl, COO of Pluvo. “What they don’t have is the time to make sense of it before the moment passes. Pluvo closes that gap. If your finance tools can’t help you explore multiple options and make informed decisions in the moment, they’re just outdated calculators and spreadsheets cosplaying finance tools.”
