Stephens, an independent financial services firm, has hired Peter Gant to join the firm’s Investment Banking division as a Managing Director and Head of Technology. He will be based in Stephens’ Dallas office.

Mr. Gant has more than 24 years of experience in investment banking focused on the software industry. Prior to joining Stephens, he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Software Investment Banking at Cowen. Mr. Gant started his investment banking career at RBC Capital Markets where he covered the software industry in a variety of roles, including Co-Head of Technology Mergers & Acquisitions and Global Head of Software Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Gant earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering from Cornell University and obtained his Master of Business Administration from University of California at Berkley.
