The Forbes Fintech 50 list highlights the top 50 private financial technology companies making industry-changing innovation across the areas of B2B lending, blockchain and bitcoin, insurance, investing, payments, personal finance, real estate, and Wall Street and enterprise. “It’s an honor to be recognized by Forbes on the Fintech 50 list for three years running. Our technology is redefining the alternative investing industry by bringing operational efficiencies and new opportunities for all players – financial advisors, their clients, and fund managers,” said Lawrence Calcano, Chief Executive Officer of iCapital Network. “I’m thankful for our team and the community of partners that have contributed to our growth and success in the last year, and we’re excited to continue developing solutions that benefit the entire industry.”

The iCapital platform was designed to meet the continually evolving needs of all industry participants: advisors across distribution channels who need simplified, tech-enabled investment processes to help incorporate alternative investments in their clients’ portfolios; asset managers looking to scale their fundraising efforts; and mission-critical infrastructure providers such as administrators, custodians and transfer agents.

iCapital’s technology can be utilized through the flagship platform, which facilitates access to private investment opportunities through an independent origination and due diligence process that prioritizes quality offerings from an array of managers, and automates the unique subscription, administration, and reporting processes of alternative investments. It can also be used via a custom branded platform solution that seamlessly integrates with existing ecosystems to enhance the alternative investing experience in the retail channel.

Additionally, iCapital developed new partnerships to bring its technology solution to fund managers and investment advisors across distribution channels. In 2019, iCapital penned agreements with Janney Montgomery Scott, Personal Capital, PIMCO, Schwab Advisor Services, State Street and United Capital. iCapital also partnered with Nasdaq Private Market to offer liquidity solutions to advisors and their high-net-worth clients by creating an integrated secondary marketplace for iCapital sponsored funds through the NPM platform.
