Bruce Johnson Joins TaxCloud Government Affairs Team

Tax Simplification Leader Sees Natural Fit at Certified Service Provider

TaxCloud, a leading online sales tax compliance service, is proud to announce that R. Bruce Johnson, former Utah Tax Commissioner, past President of the Federation of Tax Administrators and past Chairman of the Multistate Tax Commission has joined our team as Vice President, Government Affairs – Legal.

Mr. Johnson was founding Co-Chair of the Streamlined Sales Tax (SST) Implementing States and served many years on the Executive Committee of the SST Governing Board.

TaxCloud CEO John Milan welcomed Mr. Johnson to the company saying, “We could not be prouder in adding such an accomplished and respected tax professional and administrator to our team. He has been a leader in tax simplification and interstate cooperation for decades.”

Mr. Johnson is a Certified Public Accountant with an accounting degree from the University of Utah and received his law degree from Brigham Young University. Over the course of his career he has provided testimony to committees and work groups of the U.S. Congress and many states.

He joins a TaxCloud government affairs team that includes Gary Centlivre, former Chair of the SST Certification Committee, and Jerry Johnson and Russ Brubaker, both past Presidents of the SST Governing Board.
