With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Chval is no stranger to insurance-technology. He began his career at CCC Information Services selling estimating software to some of the largest property and casualty insurance companies. He has also held senior positions at ClaimForce, SCA Appraisal Company, and, most recently, at Snapsheet, where he led sales of appraisal services and software-as-a-service products.
“We have made remarkable traction since we launched Metromile Enterprise 18 months ago, and we are thrilled to have Bill Chval on board to increase access to our claims platform,” said Metromile Enterprise General Manager Amrish Singh. “The coronavirus pandemic is accelerating many insurers’ digital transformation plans, and Bill is uniquely suited to guide them as they seek to fast track their roadmaps.”
Metromile Enterprise’s platform enables an end-to-end touchless claims experience. It can improve customer satisfaction, limit losses paid to false claims, and streamline back-office operations beyond robotic process automation. Insurers worldwide license the technology to help improve their combined ratio by as much as 10%.
“I was drawn to Metromile’s talent, technology and vision. As a business partner for the past six years, I had a front-row seat to the company’s evolution and the power of AVA, Metromile’s AI-driven claims assistant. Knowing the company’s consumer-facing claims team gives me so much confidence in Metromile Enterprise,” said Chval. “Unlike other providers, we can provide an out-of-the-box touchless roadmap for business processes with little to no customization required; it is truly a game-changer for insurers.”
