Quandri Appoints Heather Natour as VP of Engineering to Drive Product Innovation

Recently named one of LinkedIn’s Top Canadian Startups, Quandri is hiring for 20+ engineering, machine learning and AI roles

Quandri, the AI automation platform modernizing personal lines renewals for insurance brokerages, announced the appointment of Heather Natour as its new Vice President of Engineering. A seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience scaling technical organizations, Heather joins Quandri at a pivotal time as the company continues to accelerate their investment in AI development.

Heather’s appointment reflects Quandri’s commitment to becoming the category-defining AI platform for insurance brokerages and marks the beginning of a company-wide hiring push.

Heather brings a diverse and accomplished background to the role. Most recently, she spent more than four years at Opendoor as Senior Director of Engineering where she led the development of consumer-facing products and growth strategies across the platform. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Lyft, Capital One, and Blackboard, building and managing high-performing engineering teams.

“Heather’s track record is exceptional; she’s delivered real results at top companies in the Bay Area, and has built high-impact, mission-driven teams,” says Jackson Fregeau, CEO and co-founder of Quandri. “Heather’s leadership will be instrumental in helping us move faster and smarter and go deeper on addressing the problems faced by our customers. She will also deliver on our plan to double our engineering organization over the next six months.”

As the VP of Engineering, Heather will lead the charge across Quandri’s platform architecture, infrastructure, security, and product delivery. She’ll be focused on building a high-performing team, accelerating product velocity, and instilling operational rigour to support Quandri’s growth targets. Working cross-functionally with leaders across the business, Heather will ensure engineering is a core driver of innovation, efficiency, and revenue impact.

“Quandri is building something truly meaningful for an underserved industry,” says Natour. “This team has such strong values and momentum, and I look forward to building on that by scaling the engineering function and continuing to deliver solutions that create real value for our customers.”

Heather’s appointment reflects Quandri’s commitment to becoming the category-defining AI platform for insurance brokerages and marks the beginning of a company-wide hiring push. With more than 40 roles in its 2025 hiring plan, Quandri will expand its Vancouver footprint later this summer with a planned 15,000 square foot office expansion. “Quandri is doubling down on our commitment to the Vancouver tech ecosystem, and to delivering real AI technology for the insurance industry,” said Jackson. “Heather’s hiring is a big milestone for our company, one of many to come in 2025.”
