Stacy Scholtz Named Chief Operating Officer at Mutual of Omaha

Stacy Scholtz has been named Chief Operating Officer at Mutual of Omaha, according to Chairman and CEO James Blackledge.

Scholtz, who joined Mutual of Omaha in 1991, has held a variety of executive positions at the insurance and financial services company, including Executive Vice President of Corporate Operations. She most recently served as Executive Vice President of Financial Solutions, leading the Income and Wealth Planning Solutions and Emerging and Strategic Solutions business segments as well as the company’s Mutual of Omaha Mortgage subsidiary.

In her new role, Scholtz will oversee business transformation and AI enablement efforts throughout the company, co-lead the company’s Retail Solutions strategic business unit and oversee corporate operations functions, Blackledge said.

“Stacy has played a pivotal role in Mutual of Omaha’s success, and her exceptional strategic planning and execution skills are essential to advancing our mission of helping more people more fully meet their financial needs,” Blackledge said.

“Stacy’s passion for innovative business transformation and her success in enhancing our customer experience, improving financial performance and helping leaders maximize their potential align with our strategic ambition and enduring customer commitment,” he said.

Scholtz earned a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University and a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. She is chair of the Children’s Nebraska Board of Directors and has served on the boards of the Mutual of Omaha Foundation, United Way of the Midlands, the Wellness Council of the Midlands, Heartland Family Service, and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee.
