This announcement comes amid an exciting start to 2021 for Altruist. Last month, the firm announced former Vanguard CEO Bill McNabb joined its Board of Directors and closed its latest round of funding, with personal investments from Mr. McNabb and industry icon, Ron Carson. Just two weeks ago, Altruist also launched its new portfolio marketplace, offering advisors access to model portfolios from Vanguard and DFA, as well as Altruist’s in-house models, the Simplicity Series.
“Jason and his team at Altruist have demonstrated a clear vision for improving the delivery of financial planning services,” said Dorsey. “I’m excited to join the ranks of a team so focused on improving the advisor-client experience and to throw my experience behind the effort to make financial advice more accessible for everyone.”
