APG Cash Management Solutions Partners with Cashspeed to Help Retailers Reduce the Cost of Managing Cash at the Point of Sale

APG Cash Management (APG), a fast-growing global manufacturer of cash management solutions, announced today its partnership with French software firm, CASHSPEED, which focuses on cash management and payments systems software. Andrew Carr, Managing Director for APG Cash Drawer EMEA commented, “With a successful deployment into a new supermarket’s entire estate in France earlier this year, we look forward to growing an already fruitful partnership. With most of Europe hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and many businesses forced to close during national lockdowns, now is a time for recovery for many retailers,” continued Carr. “New regulations are in place to protect staff and customers, and business owners have had to re-engineer their brick and mortar environments. The point-of-sale has always been a high-pressure area for retailers and with social distancing a priority, seamless transactions have never been more important.”

Eric Armetta, Operations Manager for CASHSPEED adds, “The SMARTtill™ cash management solution counts cash in real-time, eliminating the need for managers to do this manually. The hours normally spent on float counts, spot checks and cashing out can be used on other important tasks and prevents disruption and down-time at the Point-of-Sale.”

From a security point-of-view, the SMARTtill™ Solution Suite also identifies discrepancies in real-time, holding each cashier accountable for their floats and discouraging theft, reducing cash loss by up to 90% and reducing labour hours by 40%. “With many retailers struggling to regain their footing after months of being unable to trade, minimising loss and maximising efficiency will play a crucial role in their future success,” stated Andrew Carr. “Our partnership and integration with CASHSPEED have strengthened our technology and provided peace of mind and cost savings for French Supermarkets during this new normal.”
