BTIG Adds Foreign Exchange Specialist and Managing Director Brian Ager

BTIG announced today that Brian Ager has joined the firm’s Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading unit as a Managing Director. Mr. Ager will be based out of the firm’s New York office, and report directly into Anton LeRoy, President of BTIG.

“As a senior member of the FX team, we believe that he will actively participate in shaping our existing product offering to meet the demand of our institutional investor clients.

In his new role, Mr. Ager will focus on building out BTIG’s electronic FX trading capabilities and expanding its client base. “We are pleased to welcome Brian to BTIG and are confident that he will strengthen our global FX platform,” said Mr. LeRoy. “As a senior member of the FX team, we believe that he will actively participate in shaping our existing product offering to meet the demand of our institutional investor clients.”

Mr. Ager is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of FX experience. Prior to BTIG, he was the Founder and President of Institutional Foreign Exchange at Rosenthal Collins, where he oversaw trading technology, client and liquidity relationships as well as leveraged trade analytics. Previously, Mr. Ager held a variety of institutional FX sales roles at AIG, Citibank, Royal Bank of Canada, RCG and RJ O’Brien in London, Toronto and New York. Earlier in his career, he was a Commercial Property Damage and Business Interruption Underwriter at AIG Europe (UK) Ltd between 1986 and 1994.
