Eppo Heemstra joins ibanXS as the new CRFO on 21 January 2021.

Eppo has a long international banking career with MeesPierson, Fortis and ABN AMRO and is and remains managing partner at Connective Payments, a Dutch boutique consultancy firm that delivers a range of strategic and implementation services to players in the Payments ecosystem.

Eppo Heemstra, I am very happy to join the board of ibanXS. In my previous role as Managing Director Sales Transaction Banking with ABN AMRO, it became clear to me that PSD2 and Open Banking are the basis of the future financial infrastructure in Europe. Working with the team of ibanXS gives the opportunity to collaborate with true professionals to shape that future from Open Banking towards Open Finance.

Hans Vermeijs, CEO and co-founder of ibanXS: Eppo, with his extensive background, will strengthen our team immensely. In his role as CRFO, he will bring ibanXS’ risk management function and the comprehensive risk management framework, including transaction monitoring, to the highest level and will achieve the long and short term (financial) objectives of ibanXS. I am very happy with his arrival.

Edy Bruinooge, CCO and co-founder of ibanXS: Looking forward working together with Eppo again. Our mutual background in Banking goes back a long way. To have him on the team will enable to grow further in becoming a partner for all companies that wants to service their clients with access to banks.
