Shujinko Expands Leadership Team to Automate Audit Preparation for Cloud Compliance

Shujinko Introduces Industry’s First Automated Evidence Collection for Enterprise Cloud Compliance Audits

Disruptive Software Solution and Huge Market Opportunity Attract Proven Executives to Lead Enterprise Sales, Engineering, and Marketing

Shujinko, the pioneer in automated audit preparation, today announced three key executive appointments across sales, engineering and marketing that will help propel the company’s growth following its $7.5M Series A funding late last year. The appointments include Jason Kelleghan, formerly with Reciprocity, as VP of Sales; Rick Harwood, formerly with Starbucks, as VP of Engineering; and Brett Goodwin, the new VP of Marketing following similar positions with Qumulo, Skytap and Isilon.

The new additions will pave the way for the company’s official launch of its new AuditX™ solution in Q4 2020, allowing customers to dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of cloud compliance through automated audit preparation, evidence collection and readiness, a required process that typically consumes thousands of hours for organizations annually.

“As enterprises shift to cloud-first innovation, the existing use of shared spreadsheets and manual evidence collection has become obsolete for audit preparation,” said Scott Schwan, CEO and co-founder of Shujinko. “Jason, Rick, and Brett all possess passion and proven success at building emerging companies into market leaders, and I am so excited to have them drive rapid growth here at Shujinko.”

As the new VP of Sales, Jason Kelleghan will use his deep domain expertise in information security and compliance to drive the company’s revenue growth. Prior to Shujinko, Jason was Director of Sales at Reciprocity, maker of ZenGRC audit and tracking software, where he went from being the first sales rep to building and leading a global sales team responsible for growing revenues 20x over 4 years.

Prior to joining Shujinko as VP of Engineering, Rick Harwood led some of the most innovative and critical software engineering teams at Starbucks, where he was Director of Engineering for Digital Platforms. This experience, along with leadership and engineering roles at startup Blue Gecko, Amazon and Oracle, gives Rick direct insight into the challenges organizations face in wrestling with cloud compliance.

Brett Goodwin joins Shujinko as VP of Marketing, bringing a 25-year track record of building emerging enterprise software companies – including MessageYes, Qumulo, Isilon and RealNetworks – into market leaders. In prior executive roles, Brett was instrumental in growing and positioning multiple early-stage companies for IPO and acquisition.
