Traditional modes of business communication are not going to be as effective as before, in part due to changing business processes and working styles: some of these shifting trends are largely attributed to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

As remote sales and remote work becomes a part of the everyday normal, businesses need advanced solutions to service customers across an array of online / instant platforms in order to boost sales and create a constant flow of communication going.

According to a recent WhatsApp research,  more than 175 million people every day message a WhatsApp Business account, because buyers today prefer to communicate with a brand and clear any queries directly before making a final purchase.

The WhatsApp Business app and WhatsApp Business API helps businesses of all sizes manage their chats. The company now intends to use real-time feedback from users to invest further in developing and strengthening the following products and services:

  • Sales: To boost business communication and business sales, WhatsApp will provide and expand free end-to-end encrypted text, video and voice calling
  • Partnerships with Business Solution Providers: WhatsApp plans to expand their partnerships with business solution providers to provide users with a new option to manage their Business WhatsApp messages via hosting services that Facebook plans to offer. This will make it easier for small and medium size businesses to get their launch off the ground, sell products, keep their inventory up to date, and quickly respond to customer messages no matter where employees are.
  • In-app Shopping: WhatsApp will enhance how customers can shop for products and make purchases from within a chat. The aim is to help businesses integrate these features into their existing solutions.
