Retreeb And Intergiro Launch Sustainable Payment Solution

Swedish-based Intergiro, a prominent European Banking as a Service (BaaS) platform, today announced a partnership with Retreeb, a Swiss payment service that enables users to donate to charitable organisations. This agreement, which is backed by Intergiro’s cutting-edge embedded finance technology, represents an important step towards the introduction of Retreeb’s sustainable payment solution and affirms its dedication to value redistribution and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Retreeb’s revolutionary payment mechanism, which reflects its goal to reimagine payment systems for a sustainable future, allocates 33% of revenue to CSR efforts. With the help of its BaaS platform, Intergiro will support this aim by giving Retreeb access to off-chain financial flow management services in the Eurozone. This will allow the Swiss fintech to generate Euro accounts for its consumers and deliver an improved payment experience.

The complete payment value chain is covered by Intergiro’s regulated services, which are supported by a Swedish electronic money (EMI) licence and are only available via API. This licence enables Intergiro, and consequently its partners, to provide payment services and act as an electronic money institution within the European Economic Area (EEA). Retreeb has obtained permission to use Intergiro as a distribution channel for its solutions across all of Europe. Retreeb’s “blockchain for good” purpose, which seeks to change the banking industry’s focus from “making as much profit as possible” to “create as much profit as possible to share,” is exemplified by the partnership between Intergiro and Retreeb. The development of sustainable financial ecosystems that enable people to have a beneficial influence on society and the environment is advanced significantly by this alliance. A key element of Retreeb’s continued dedication to developing a sustainable payment solution is the relationship with Intergiro. Intergiro and Retreeb are in a strong position to revolutionise the payments sector by fostering innovation and constructive change with the help of one another. This collaboration comes after Intergiro recently responded to the ongoing financial crisis and inflation by giving merchants that open an Intergiro merchant business account access to free banking services.
