Developed in collaboration with HID Global, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, CPI®’s new solution enables high-quality, over-the-edge printing that covers the entire surface of a card, allowing financial institutions to offer customers vibrant debit and credit cards with on-demand convenience.

Available through a premium Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, Spectrum builds on the seamless customer experience of Card@Once® instant issuance, delivering eye-catching card imagery with long-lasting durability. The new CPI solution achieves this using the process of reverse image thermal transfer, through which an entire card image is printed onto thin substrate and then transferred to the card via heat – without the printer ever touching the card surface. The retransfer technology allows Spectrum to print in high definition, 600 dpi (dots per inch) image quality – ideal for a financial institution’s dynamic full-color printing needs.
