Since 2005, InspereX has been a leader in socially responsible investing, when it began underwriting and distributing Calvert Impact Capital Community Investment Notes. In 2017, it was the first firm to underwrite and distribute programmatic debt for a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Capital Impact Partners. Since then, CDFIs Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and Century Housing have joined the platform, and today, InspereX is the #1 underwriter and distributor of public debt for CDFIs.1

InspereX continues this legacy of impact and innovation in the CDFI space; in August, the firm underwrote and distributed its first CDFI credit union share certificates.

“For over two decades, InspereX has proudly provided a way for individuals, and institutions alike, to invest their assets in the causes that are important to them,” said Jodi Waber, Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance at InspereX. “Our impact issuers play a pivotal role in our communities, and we are honored to be working with them to support their growth. Today, we celebrate this significant milestone and all the good work that has been realized as a result.”

Offerings on the InspereX Impact Investment Platform are designed to generate measurable impact coupled with financial return. The InspereX Impact Platform offers issuers a wide range of benefits, including broad investor distribution, funding diversification, project-specific funding, increased investor awareness, and impact expansion. Investors benefit from flexible income opportunities2, competitive yields, and a legacy for future generations in impacts that can be quantified through meaningful outcomes.

The platform features various impact investment targets, including:

  • Affordable housing
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Jobs
  • Community centers
  • Economic development
  • Access to healthy food
  • Small business

Speaking to the milestone, Scott Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer of InspereX said, “As investors seek opportunities to align their financial goals with personal values, impact investments play an increasingly important role. We look forward to continuing our strong momentum and helping more impact issuers and investors achieve better financial outcomes.”

In the past year, InspereX has strengthened its position as a leading, multi-solution distribution platform through a series of strategic partnerships with Luma Financial Technologies and SUBSCRIBE on the launch of Aria, a collaboration with Fi-Tek LLC on fixed income trading capabilities, an expansion into annuity distribution with AuguStar Retirement, as well as the acquisition of Financial Northeastern Securities to bolster the firm’s Certificates of Deposits (CDs) and Credit Union Share Certificates distribution.

1Leadership ranking source: Bloomberg as of 9/15/2026. InspereX’s ranking as the number #1 bond underwriter and distributor is based on public CDFI loan fund debt.
2 Income payments, as outlined in the offering documents, are subject to the credit risk of the issuer. If an issuer defaults on the payment, no future income payments will be made.
