Rockefeller Capital Management Welcomes Mooney Stanley

Rockefeller Capital Management today welcomes the Mooney Stanley Group, a respected Ohio-based financial advisory team with more than 70 years of wealth management experience, to its Rockefeller Global Family Office. The addition expands the firm’s presence in the Midwest; the group will report to Brett Thelander, Midwest Divisional Director.

Based in Pepper Pike, OH, near Cleveland, the team is led by Managing Director John Mooney, ranked on Forbes’ “Best Wealth Advisors” lists since 2020, and includes Zac Stanley CEPA, CFP®, First Vice President, Linda McGann, Vice President, and Gretchen Harris, Associate Vice President. The four-member group joins from UBS.

A 35-year veteran of financial services, Mooney held positions at McDonald Investments and National City Bank prior to joining UBS. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and an MBA from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Active in his community, he is currently a board member of The Littlest Heroes, a non-profit organization supporting families battling pediatric cancer and other childhood illnesses.

Stanley brings seven years of experience to the firm. Before joining UBS, he served for 11 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Malone University. He is also an active volunteer for Cleveland Sight Center and mentors college students through the College Now program.

McGann has been in financial services for 30 years. A graduate of Ohio State University, she began her career in 1986 at McDonald and Company in Pepper Pike, OH. She currently holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
