BTIG Expands Investment Banking Group With Head Of Financial Institutions Alex Alden

BTIG announced that Alex Alden has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions and Financial Technology within its Investment Banking division. Mr. Alden will oversee the firm’s efforts to deliver a complete set of advisory and capital solutions to BTIG’s financial services and financial technology clients globally. In his new role with the firm, he will be based in BTIG’s San Francisco office and report to Matt Clark, Global Head of Investment Banking.

Mr. Alden brings more than 25 years of industry experience to BTIG. Most recently, Alex was a Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions and Head of Financial Technology at KPMG Corporate Finance LLC, focusing on M&A and capital advisory transactions. Previously, Mr. Alden held similar roles, leading efforts for financial services and financial technology firms at UBS Securities LLC, JMP Securities and Bank of America Securities. Mr. Alden has successfully closed more than $45 billion of M&A transactions and lead-managed capital markets transactions for financial technology and financial services clients over his career.
