Live Payments Leverages TNS for Nationwide Smart Terminal Upgrade

Live Payments, one of Australia’s leading payment services providers, is strengthening its 8,000 strong terminals with managed connectivity from Transaction Network Services (TNS).

“This will enable us to offer faster transactions, with innovative commerce and payments capabilities, support for new apps and the ability to build value added services faster,” said Live Payments CEO Reuven Barukh.

As part of a major strategic upgrade to its nationwide network, Live Payments will use TNS’ resilient and fully managed 4G-connected payments network to power its new collection of smart terminals coming online this month.

Live Payments will use TNS’ 4G connectivity alongside the Wi-Fi and offline processing capabilities of the Smart Terminal. TNS’ managed service offering provides resilient connectivity while delivering heightened levels of security. Data is routed across TNS’ PCI DSS certified payments network, eliminating the risk of misuse of SIM card data which is present with SIMs exposed to the internet.
