Endorsement builds on long-standing partnership with California trade association to drive member engagement
Paysafe, a leading specialized payments platform, announced that Petroleum Card Services (“PCS”), its payment processing solutions provider for U.S. gas stations and convenience stores (C-stores), has renewed its endorsement with the California Fuels and Convenience Alliance (CFCA) as the trade association’s preferred payments processor for a third consecutive year. The endorsement sees PCS leverage its expertise as the leading payment processing provider in the American independent unbranded gas station market to foster deeper engagement with CFCA members.

Originally founded in 1952, CFCA represents a vast range of small businesses in the petroleum and convenience store space and seeks to connect its members with industry professionals and partnering vendors, largely through interactive events and education sessions. PCS will work with the association to provide collaborative support and sponsorship of trade-driven events while ensuring current members have access to an exclusive pricing program that offers a special discount on payment processing solutions.
After being cancelled in 2020, CFCA’s annual three-day Pacific Fuels and Convenience Summit is this year set to return to offer attendees and vendors within the industry the opportunity to network and collaborate in-person. PCS will host a 30-minute education session on the tradeshow floor reflecting on April’s EMV liability shift, equipment upgrades, chargebacks, and accelerating growth as the industry continues to navigate regulatory changes alongside the pandemic’s enduring influence.

Lori Griboski, VP, Petroleum Sales at Paysafe’s Petroleum Card Services, said: “The renewed endorsement and expansion of our relationship with CFCA is rooted in a shared commitment to accelerating the industry and empowering small businesses within the petro space. We are confident the combination of our collective expertise and support will provide value for many years to come and are thrilled to continue this rewarding partnership with the alliance and its members.”
Amber Palmer, Events Manager at California Fuels and Convenience Alliance, commented: “We are delighted to announce the continuation of our partnership with PCS. The vast majority of the members are small, family-owned businesses and it is imperative that we partner with brands that fully understand the needs and challenges of our industry. CFCA’s continued partnership with PCS is a direct reflection of this and we look forward to continued success and collaboration.”
