Raiffeisenbank Russia Has Deployed AI Smart Engines ID Scanning Technologies For Customer Onboarding
Raiffeisenbank Russia has integrated Smart Engines software for automatic passport recognition. Opening an account in bank branches with Smart ID Engine is now more comfortable with highly precise and fast data extraction. The technical solution based on Smart ID Engine works on-premise, which guarantees personal data security and privacy.
Raiffeisenbank branches now use advanced OCR algorithms for seamless and secure identity documents recognition to open an account. The bank staff scans the document, and all the necessary data is automatically entered in the corresponding fields of the application. The embedded solution enables immediate extraction of text data, as well as the owner’s photo. Smart ID Engine performs cross-validation of the recognized data.
Smart ID Engine is based on the state-of-the-art GreenOCR® technology that represents the results of company’s scientific research in the field of energy-efficient or Green AI. The applied 8-bit DNN model provides high performance of AI algorithms and significantly reduces the power consumption when scanning. Using the Smart ID Engine, companies can extract document data by scanning photos, scans, and video streams in real-time. The software development toolkit is available to Smart Engines’ clients for integration into mobile, server, and desktop applications.
“The simplicity and convenience of the bank’s services for the clients is our key priority. Deployment of Smart Engines technologies for ID scanning at our bank allowed us to speed up and simplify the process of opening a bank. Furthermore, the implementation of Smart ID Engine software product into our bank’s technology stack meets the security requirements in client’s data processing”, said Maria Magdeeva, Managing Director of Delivery Channels Division at Raiffeisenbank Russia.
“When developing new AI algorithms, we prioritize the quality and speed of ID documents scanning as well as safety of the technological stack based on AI. Our technologies enable organizations worldwide to process client’s data in offices and in remote service in compliance with international and national standards”, comments Nikita Arlazarov, Chief Financial Officer at Smart Engines.
