Regions Bank on Wednesday announced the launch of Regions Whole Loan Advisory (RWLA), a specialized advisory team within Regions Securities LLC designed to help financial institutions strategically buy, sell and manage whole-loan portfolios across multiple asset classes.

The new team expands Regions Corporate Banking capabilities by providing consultative guidance on balance sheet optimization, loan portfolio diversification, liquidity management and funding strategies for community banks, specialty finance companies and institutional investors.

Ricardo Diaz brings over 30 years of experience in fixed-income capital markets, asset-backed securities and bank balance sheet strategy. Prior to joining Regions Securities LLC, he served as Managing Director at Janney Montgomery Scott following its acquisition of FIG Partners. His background includes leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, AIG, Truist (formerly SunTrust) and Angel Oak.
