SmartBiz Loans has been named one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Financial Technology. This is the 3rd year in a row SmartBiz Loans has earned this distinction.
SmartBiz Loans is the leading online bank marketplace for SBA loans. The company offers additional financial products for small business owners through its network of banks, helping entrepreneurs get the right financing at the right time. Based in San Francisco, the company expanded to Austin, Texas in 2017 and operates out of both locations with a staff of over 100 employees.

The awards program, created in 2017, is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the financial technology industry. The 2020 list included 49 companies and was published by American Banker, National Mortgage News, PaymentsSource, Financial Planning, and Digital Insurance.

The award is a project of Arizent and Best Companies Group. Companies entered a two-part survey process to determine Arizent’s Best Places to Work in Financial Technology. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
