Payrailz Recognized as One of Arizent’s Best Places to Work in Fintech

Joint Payrailz®, Credit Union CUSO, CU Railz®, Builds Momentum, Growing to 13 Members, Raises $15M

Payrailz, a digital payments company offering smarter, more engaging payment experiences to banks and credit unions has been named one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Financial Technology. The awards program was created in 2017 and is a project of Arizent and Best Companies Group.

This annual survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the financial technology industry. Companies recognized on this year’s list operate in and serve companies and consumers in a wide range of financial services including banking and mortgages, insurance, payments and financial advisory.

“The competition for talent in technology is intense and companies named to Arizent’s Best Places to Work in Financial Technology are setting the standard in terms of cultures that help people thrive,” said Richard Melville, Group Editorial Director at Arizent.

One reason Payrailz was recognized is because of its commitment to taking care of employees as well as the surrounding community. As the company works to build trust and relationships across teams, they work to support local charities, as well. Giving employees an opportunity to give back has set an example for them while also giving them opportunities to bond.

The company also holds regular company-wide meetings in which remote associates travel in to collaborate under one roof. Instead of merely focusing on work, they focus on each other. Payrailz recognizes that a lot of work can get done regardless of any employee’s location, but relationship building is best done face-to-face.

“It is always a top goal of ours to make sure everyone at Payrailz feels valued and understands that they are an integral part of the family and truly our greatest asset,” said Fran Duggan, Payrailz’ CEO. “With a high number of remote workers, that can be challenging. In our efforts to create a stimulating and supportive work environment, we take our video calls and company-wide meetings very seriously and are honored that employees both inside and outside the office find this one of the best places to work.”

To be considered for participation, companies must provide technology products, services or solutions that enable the delivery of financial services. Companies must also have been in business for at least one full year and employ at least 15 people in the US.

Companies from across the United States entered a two-part survey process to determine Arizent’s Best Places to Work in Financial Technology. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the final ranking.
