“It’s an honor to receive the top ranking in Rhode Island for the 2026 America’s Best-in-State Credit Unions Ranking,” said Navigant Credit Union President / CEO Kathy Orovitz. “Receiving this recognition from Forbes reinforces the trust that we’ve built with the Rhode Island community for over 111 years. At Navigant Credit Union we’re committed to serving our members with integrity, compassion, and care. This recognition supports that commitment and the incredible work our team does every day to help improve the financial well-being of the families, businesses, and communities that we serve.”

A partnership between Forbes and global market research firm Statista, the annual Best-in-State Credit Unions list is based on an independent survey of thousands of U.S. consumers, as well as publicly available reviews. To be eligible, credit unions must have received a minimum number of evaluations, with awarded institutions averaging more than 635 evaluations. The ranking focuses on institutions that operate in 14 states or fewer and are not online-only providers, underscoring the importance of strong regional and community-based financial relationships. This award highlights credit unions that excel in delivering trusted, high-quality financial services and strong member experiences at the local level.
