The five technological categories of the awards
Businesses prioritize innovation despite increased uncertainty. The Red Hat 2023 Global Tech Outlook highlights innovation as a key difference, enabling firms to stand out and achieve success. Digital Transformation, Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud-native Development, Automation, and Resilience are the awards’ five technological categories.
The Digital Transformation category honors companies that have overcome commercial hurdles with digitization and become fully digital. The Automation category honors companies that have transformed their processes, workflows, and jobs through automation. In the Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure category, organizations employ public, private, and open clouds creatively and collaboratively. The Cloud-Native Development category honors companies that used agile methods to accelerate the creation of customer-impacting commercial applications. The winners were chosen for how Red Hat installations helped their businesses. They demonstrate how open source may improve company operations, productivity, innovation, and resilience.
