Futurex Fuels Payment Applications with jPOS Integration
Transactility and Futurex integrate transaction processing messaging standard with payment HSMs; jPOS in use by thousands of financial institutions worldwide
Futurex, a leader in hardened, enterprise- class data security solutions, announced that its payment hardware security modules (HSMs) are fully integrated with jPOS, an open-source implementation of the ISO 8583 transaction messaging standard. This integration will further fuel jPOS-based payment applications and expand their capabilities. Futurex customers and developers can take advantage of the jPOS functionality immediately with the Futurex Excrypt Series, on-premises payment HSMs, and Futurex’s VirtuCrypt cloud payment HSM. Transactility, Inc., the commercial licensing and implementation team for the jPOS.org project, worked closely with Futurex on the integration.
jPOS is used by major financial institutions, retailers, and payment processors, serving as the financial industry’s messaging foundation standard for exchanging electronic transactions — spanning Fortune 100 payment networks and micro-finance applications.
“As innovative payment solutions emerge, the evolution of security solutions becomes even more critical. We are excited to work so closely with Futurex — an innovative company on the forefront of financial services security that we trust — to make their technology as accessible to our payments customers as possible,” said Constantino Voulgaris, CEO of Transactility, Inc.
“Innovative payment applications are changing consumer behavior and conversely, consumer behavior is fueling the transformation of payment processing. Together with the industry leadership and technology of Transactility and jPOS, we are at the epicenter of this transformation,” said Adam Cason, vice president, global and strategic alliances, at Futurex. “We are working closely with the FinTech community to enable secure and scalable — and innovative — commerce around the world.”
