Lisk Announces High-Profile Judging Panel from Binance and SalesForce Ahead of Hackathon Finale

The deadline for entries to HackOnLisk 2, which boasts $60,000 in prize funding, and is open to anyone hoping to participate, is November 15th 2021 with winners announced on December 2nd

Lisk, an open-source platform which enables developers to build blockchain applications in JavaScript, has announced its high-profile judgement panel for its developer-focused hackathon, HackOnLisk2. The hackathon, which aims to bolster innovation in the blockchain space by providing funding and consultation to participating teams, will welcome judging representatives from Digital Asset Management, Dapp Radar, Salesforce, and Binance. The hackathon precedes Lisk’s largest infrastructure update in it’s history, having recently released Lisk Mainnet v3.

Discussing their HackOnLisk2 judging panel participation, Anton Kravchenko, Director of Product at Salesforce, said: “I’m incredibly excited to see what the teams are able to create. Following the recently successful HackOnLisk 1, which granted winners $30,000 in Lisk tokens (LSK), Lisk have increased their prize funding to $60,000, presenting further opportunities for developers to capitalise on their skillset. Amongst the cash prizes, successful participants of the hackathon will increase their chances of being selected for  the Lisk Grant Program, a year long funding initiative aimed to bring application concepts from ideation to fruition. Projects selected for the Lisk Grant Program will receive regular funding to a total sum of $1.3 Million USD made available from the Lisk Foundation.

In order to participate in HackOnLisk2, groups of teams will be required to build a blockchain-based DeFi or GameFi application with the Lisk SDK. Opportunity to participate is open to fully formed teams as well as individuals who will be able to find their own team. The hackathon is suitable for anyone interested in blockchain, JavaScript development, or technology, given the many different aspects associated with the construction and building of a blockchain based application.
