Vanessa joins CoinFund on the heels of a four-year run as an Executive Director at ConsenSys, where she helped build and solidify the organization’s position as the world’s leading Ethereum software company and investor.

At CoinFund, Vanessa will play a leading role helping the firm and its portfolio companies bridge the gap between the worlds of traditional companies and decentralized networks from early-stage development to growth at scale. She will focus on helping founders build world-class teams, protocols, applications and network governance, forming alliances within the CoinFund portfolio companies as well as across other blockchain projects and protocols. The organization that Vanessa will build out over time is designed to cement CoinFund as one of the most hands-on partners to early-stage teams building blockchain technology products.

Vanessa began her career as a financial analyst and lawyer at leading financial services companies and law firms. She spent nine years as a corporate strategy executive at NYSE before transitioning to a senior role at PwC working in New York, London, and Paris. She joined ConsenSys in 2016 and has led strategic partnerships, alliances and channels within the financial services, global trade and enterprise blockchain verticals. Her work has been integral to elevating Ethereum as the world’s foremost smart contract platform and as the enterprise-grade blockchain of choice working with the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.
Vanessa currently sits on the boards of the Arts and Antiquities Blockchain Consortium (AABC), the Accounting Blockchain Coalition (ABC) and serves as president of Blockchain for Social Impact Coalition (BSIC). She sits on the advisory boards of ConsenSys, CADAF, and The Resolution Project.
