Former BlackRock Director Joins Freestone Capital Management as Managing Director

Seasoned Investment Leader Will Help Shape and Amplify the Perspectives of Freestone’s 18-Person Investment Team

Freestone Capital Management (“Freestone”), a Seattle-based Registered Investment Advisor, announced that Carolyn Barnette has joined the firm as a Managing Director on its investment team.

In her role, Carolyn will draw on perspectives from across the investment team to shape and deliver timely market and portfolio insights for client advisors. She will develop commentary and resources that support client conversations about the markets, portfolio positioning and performance, and investment opportunities across asset classes.

Carolyn brings 17 years of industry experience to Freestone. Prior to joining the firm, she spent 13 years at BlackRock, most recently serving as Head of Market and Portfolio Insights for US Wealth. Previously, she led BlackRock’s Metro Portfolio Consulting team, working directly with advisory teams to construct and refine model portfolios.
