Jake first worked with the G2 team in 2019 as an intern, then joined full-time as an Investor in 2020. He is a board observer at G2 portfolio companies Light Guide Systems, AiDash, and Nikola Labs and helps lead the firm’s work on topics including artificial intelligence and machine learning, carbon markets, electrification, and industrial decarbonization. Jake is an avid blogger on these topics, and you can read his pieces and others at blog.g2vp.com.
Prior to joining G2, Jake invested in large industrial companies at Advent International, working in diverse sectors including water, distribution, manufacturing, and software. Before Advent, Jake worked in the operations group at a manufacturer and consulted with large industrial companies at Bain and Company. Jake combines this experience from working in industry with a passion for tech and sustainability. He is a self-taught (amateur) data scientist, and has supported start-ups in the software, space, and sustainability sectors. Jake holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
