Customers shopping at Walmart.com support national nonprofit serving America’s military and veteran families
Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families, announced today that Walmart and its loyal customers raised over $3.2 million for the organization. From October 23 to November 30, Walmart engaged customers by matching donations 2:1 when customers donated to Operation Homefront and other veterans’ charitable organizations at checkout on Walmart.com through Spark Good Round Up. This donation will make the New Year brighter for military families who are struggling to make ends meet.
“We are deeply grateful to Walmart and their caring customers who have demonstrated their unwavering commitment to help military families in their time of need by raising over $3.2 million to support this very special and deserving group of our fellow citizens,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., President and CEO of Operation Homefront. “Together, with our like-minded donor community, we can ensure our nation’s military families have the opportunity to thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.”
