Kapital Raises $125M in New Financing from Tru Arrow Partners, Fasanara Capital

The financing will enable Kapital to accelerate product innovation and expand its presence across Mexico, the United States and other key markets.

Kapital, a global AI-powered financial institution and one of the largest B2B financial institutions in Latin America, announced $125 million in new financing from Tru Arrow Partners and Fasanara Capital, with Cervin Ventures, Niya Partners and Overlook Capital also participating.

“Kapital is solving the core financial challenges that hold businesses back at every stage of their development, creating greater economic opportunity and using AI to democratize access to financial capabilities that were traditionally reserved for large corporations,” said René Saúl, CEO and co-founder of Kapital. “As Kapital continues to grow profitably and increase the operating leverage of our business, this new capital will allow us to accelerate our next phase of growth and expand our impact in priority markets such as Mexico and the United States.”

Kapital will use the new financing to deepen its investment in its proprietary AI platform and data analytics suite. This will enable the company to expand its financial services ecosystem and accelerate its global growth strategy across Mexico, Latin America, the United States and Europe.

“Kapital’s growth to date clearly demonstrates the strength of its business model, the competitive advantage it has built around its AI capabilities and data network, and the significant demand for its solutions,” said Francesco Filia, Founder and CEO of Fasanara Capital. “We are excited about the opportunities ahead for Kapital and look forward to continuing to support the financial institution as it expands.”

Kapital enters this next phase from a position of financial strength. The institution recently reported its second quarter results, which showed significant growth during the first half of 2026, including:

  • Net income of approximately $50 million
  • 220% year-over-year growth in its loan portfolio, which exceeded $1.7 billion
  • 234% growth in deposits, with balances exceeding $3.5 billion
  • Non-performing loan ratio of 2.86%
  • Efficiency ratio of 34.9%

These results reflect Kapital’s ability to scale its operations while maintaining cost discipline, alongside a continued focus on asset quality and risk management.

In September 2025, Kapital announced a Series C round, raising up to $110 million and doubling the company’s valuation to more than $1.3 billion, becoming Mexico’s first AI unicorn. Today, Kapital serves more than 350,000 customers across Mexico, the United States, Europe and other Latin American markets, and plans to continue expanding its presence in these priority markets. The financial institution is one of 10 unicorn startups headquartered in Mexico and has twice been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer.
