Blytz® Names Eben Esterhuyse Chief Technology and Product Officer

Payments technology veteran will lead the company’s technology strategy and product portfolio as Blytz enters its next stage of growth.

Blytz®, the intelligent payments and collections platform helping lenders modernize how they engage borrowers and collect payments, today announced that Eben Esterhuyse has joined the company as Chief Technology and Product Officer.

Esterhuyse will lead technology across Blytz, with responsibility for the company’s technology strategy, product development, engineering, and platform innovation. He will also oversee the P&L for the Blytz product portfolio, helping ensure the company’s technology investments translate into stronger products, better customer outcomes, and sustainable growth.

“Eben understands that great payments technology has to do more than work. It has to solve a real problem for the lender and the person trying to pay,” said Robyn Burkinshaw, founder and CEO of Blytz. “He brings the technical depth, product discipline, and commercial judgment we need as we continue building technology that can recognize when a payment has gone off track and help resolve it before it becomes a collections problem. He is exactly the kind of leader we want helping shape what comes next for Blytz.”

Esterhuyse brings 25 years of experience across electronic payments, B2B payments, accounts payable automation, cash management, and financial services. Throughout his career, he has led product launches, platform integrations, and cross-functional teams in high-growth technology environments, with responsibility for both product strategy and business performance.

“Blytz is tackling one of the most persistent problems in payments: what happens when a customer intends to pay, but the payment does not go through,” said Esterhuyse. “The company has built an exciting foundation by bringing engagement and payment action together, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to strengthen the platform, expand the product portfolio, and turn that vision into meaningful results for customers.”

Esterhuyse joins Blytz as the company continues to expand its platform and develop new technology designed to help lenders identify payment disruptions, determine the next best action, and resolve accounts earlier.
